Prayers for the New Pope Francis

“Habemus papam” – We have a pope – was the announcement made by Gregory Parkes (Bishop) on the Thursday night during a service and wishing the newly elected pope.

Parkes is the head of the Catholic Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee and he said “We gather here today to rejoice, to provide thanks and to pray. We rejoice and give thanks today that indeed, ‘habemus papam’, we have a new pope. Today we gather as God’s faithful to pray for Pope Francis, new pope, that may be the shepherd that God has called him to be.

Hymns were sung, prayers were lifted up for new Pope Francis and communication was held during the service at Sacred Heart Cathedral. About fifteen priests from the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, some local Catholics and children from the Sacred Heart Cathedral School attended the service.

Many people who attended the service called this a historical time for the Church, stressing the value of lifting up Pope through prayers and service to the church. The pastor at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milton, Monsignor Stephen Bosso said “In my opinion, it’s very, very historic. First of all, you have a cardinal which is Hispanic. Hispanics are about 40% of the population of the church. I guess it’s very appropriate that he comes from South America.”

Pensacola’s Kelly Brown brought her 5 children to the service to show support for Francis, whom she said they’ll continue to support as long as he follows God. Brown Said “I thinks it was really so important to us and our children to come. He is our leader and we know he is safe and God guides him.”

Another woman Debra Kummer said that although she was sad to see Pope Benedict leaving, she was excited to see the new leader of the Catholic Church.

God’s Assistance in Our Daily Life

When I was only at 15, I asked god to enter my life since I perceived that I did not have the knowledge, patience, wisdom and endurance to live. Once I married 31 years ago and again I perceived that I needed the help of the One because all I wanted to be happy and without him, none is able to embrace happiness.

God is everywhere and he knows everything. All we need in our life is peace which only comes when we get perfection on a task and perfection won’t be there if God is not with you. This is why we need God to participate and bond with us on a daily basis.

How do you move to those levels with God? In order to get closer to God, you need to believe that he is the one caring for us and the almighty is always willing for us. Problems do always exist around us and I faced so many problems in my entire life. I can sense God is near because I solved those problems and I realized that God is helping me because I encountered some problems which seem to me as impossible to escape, but I did. It was only because God helped me.

There are so many problems we face in our daily life. You or your family may experience sudden health issues; you may get a bitter taste of a terrible business loss; you may spend money on your vehicle; maybe you are unemployed and looking for work; or perhaps, a health issue has stolen your ability to participate in an activity that would bring you joy. These are our daily problems. Maybe there are something more terrible waiting for you. When you have got closer to God, these problems can easily be solved. So ask God to help in your daily life.

Religious Leaders call for prayers to search for political Politeness

At the time when all hopes go down we pray to Almighty God for his kindness. Ideals of compromise and collegiality have become a distant dream in recent times. Religious leaders have come forward and asking Americans to seek the kindness of the God Almighty. First day of the new Congress, 21st January has been chosen as the day when President Barak Obama will take his oath as president for the second time. All Americans are invited to pray for the compromise and political civility in this day.

Organizers are expecting all Americans no matter what their faith or believe is, will pray for a climate where politicians will be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to become angry and they will avoid attacking the characters of others or falsely impugning their motives.

The nonpartisan Faith & Politics Institute has organized 18 days of prayer for the nation. The Institution nurtures the spiritual life of member of Congress and their staffs and pressed political foes toward civil debate. Several political leaders including Episcopal Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, Richard Land of the Southern Baptists’ Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission and Richard Cizik, president of the New Evangelical Partnership for the Common Good, Eboo Patel, a Muslim American who founded the Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core, and Rabbi Steve Gutow of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs have signed on and will participate on the prayer.

Different religious groups usually encourage individual prayer for the country but this time they all are under one banner. For the betterment of the country they have come forward to organize the prayer. These 18 days, Americans will pray for their country and ask to God for the better political situation inside United States.

Moscow Architectural Institution Conducting Prayer Service for God’s Help

We all are compelled to follow God’s order and designated path in order to achieve success in our life. From this believe, a college in Moscow has commission a prayer service. The college followed an unusual path to protect it from its reputation problems. The college is placed in Russia’s notorious list of inefficient colleges. To get rid from this list and all of its reputation problems the college administrative followed the path of God and commissioned the prayer service.

Moscow Architectural Institute staffers commission the prayer service. Mikhail Shubenkov, the first deputy head of the institute stated the story as true. In the next Wednesday the prayer service will take place in an Orthodox Christian cathedral in Moscow.

The Institute is suffering from lots of odd problems and streak of bad lucks. They already have tried several ways to end the streak but they couldn’t be able to manage it. Now they’re turning to God and hoping that with the blessing of Almighty they’ll be able to get rid of these troubles.

In Orthodox Christianity, they normally pray for rain, health, safe journey or victory in battle. There is no prayer for reputational damages or problems with the powers that be.
But they intend to make an exception for this Institution and hold this prayer for them.

Russian Education and Science Ministry conducted a survey and announced the result in this November. According to this survey done by the Ministry, the Moscow Architectural Institute landed on a list of 136 Russian higher education institutions which are marked as inefficient.

Though the educational community criticized the survey for its vague and poorly thought out evaluation criteria but the Architectural Institution are taking the result seriously and now turns to God to help them.

Prayer for Enlightening Your Life

To human ¬¬being, prayer is the only way that links to God. Prayer constitutes of human existential reality. Man can overcome loneliness in this universe by engaging themselves in this act. Every single moment spent during this act (prayer) free us from fear and pain. Through prayer human being become part of the great cosmological interdependence that is created by God.

Prayer is valuable believe of human being for sustaining in the world full of questions and uncertainty. Through this we can find the answers we seek for and create a balance in life. Prayer is essential to human as the sun for earth. Within hearts of humans there is lots of programmes of which is coded by God that man likes to connect with when there is no hope for light. Human utters words for forgiveness and to enlighten their world in prayers. Do these words whispered or resonating in hearts have any consequences? These prayers do seem to possess a cognitive importance.

A medical research published in the International Journal of Clinical Practice has proved that repetitive and sequential praying to human infants makes them respond to their stimuli. These infants respond to sequences of anger and laughter.

Jean Piaget, an established Psychologist has also done studies with children on their belief of God. He believes that children can relate more with God as they can relate with their parents. Their understanding of God is oriented by their parent’s role in their life. However, they experience a transformation in their cognition of God when they realize the ‘fallibility’ of their parents.

Through self-mortification, meditation, devotion, sheer solitude and invocation we establish authentic psychological practices which enlightens our soul and help us to link with the living reality of cosmos.

Prayer Tips from Bible in Confiscated Situation

Prayer is the best way to find seldom. When we look for ways of praying there’s not always direct tips of how to do it. Sometimes you have to dig a little to find the best ways. Here, we will discuss on several different praying method in your different situation.

Desperate Measure: You’re totally backed into corner. The whole situation is unable to bear for you. You’re wondering how you can settle your job, finance or marriage. In the desperate time trusting in God is the most important. You must trust to Almighty and pray from your heart to him to save you from the trouble and hopefully he will answer your prayer. The night before his death, Jesus told his confused and anxious disciples how to pray at such times:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” (John 14:1, NIV)

During your Heartbroken: Sometimes times may seem most hard than ever. People we love may die or we can hard to find the money we need. How do we prayer than? When Jesus’ friend Martha’s brother died she was heartbroken and ask to Jesus for way of praying during this time. Jesus relied,
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26, NIV)

We can’t hope for dead one raise again but the Almighty has the ability to heal our broken heart and we should pray to him with full believe. As we are beloved creation of the Almighty he will respond our prayer and will make the time easy for us.

Through happiness or sorrow we should believe in God fully and ask for his help.

The most powerful prayer of petition

Human being utterly desires to get successful in every step of his life. Whenever you start a journey you should ask god for success. God almighty is kind and if he wants everything is possible. With hard working and ultimate devotion to god any attempt can get successful.

We should not only pray to God almighty for our success we also should pray for petition. The most powerful way of praying petition to god almighty is to write. Things become more specified when we write it out and it’s our duty fully understand what we are praying and what for.

Followers asked Jesus the way of praying and he showed us the way. Many people follow his shown way but don’t even know what they mean and actual purpose. But if they would understand it completely they could be more devoted. The whole point is to understand and better communication with Almighty.

Matthew 6a After this manner therefore pray ye:
He said “after this manner” He didn’t say “pray this.” In other words pray like this. He didn’t say this is what I want you to pray. In fact a couple verses before that he condemned using vain repetitions when we pray. So isn’t it weird that right after He told us not to use repetitions to the point of calling it vain He then immediately gave us a prayer to repeat? It’s not weird at all because He wasn’t giving us a prayer to repeat He was giving us an example of how to pray. I brought this up because part of that prayer was an example of the prayer of petition. The prayer of asking for things we need.

God inspired us to write down when he wanted to pass something. Many cultures passed their beliefs orally but if they’ve written it down it would’ve been completely unchanged. So, understand your prayer and write down your prayer whenever you ask something from god.

How to Get Answer from GOD

When things went wrong, you are just frustrated and have nothing to do, we can do only one thing that is to do pray to the almighty God who created and look after us. God love us so he has given a way through which we can be connected with him and can ask something from him: by praying. However, prayer is more than just asking something or for something.

God wants relationship, a true relationship by communicating about everything that a person concerns. Building of that relationship needs some rules to be followed. If you need loan from a bank, you will have to provide all the information that the bank requires. And you still don’t know whether you will get it or not. When it comes to ask for something from God, there are some rules that must be followed strictly and if you pray in the right way, God will answer you.

When a religion talks about hearts, it is not considered as an organ pumping blood. It becomes talking about emotions. Men’s outward appearance isn’t a matter to God. He looks on the heart because this is what reveals the motives of a man. If our motive is pure, then surely God will answer.

What God expect from us is to believe on him; however, none can develop this trust or believe in a night. It’s a matter of time and it becomes stronger over the time. When you have strong faith in God, there is greater chance that God will answer you.

We live in a rush society and everything we want to build in a rush. When it comes to prayer, we must be patient as God makes all things beautiful for us in his time, not in our time. When God is taking time, you must be able to understand that he is taking time to make the things precisely what we have asked.

• Psalm 119:66 -Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
• Proverbs 16:22 -Good sense is a fountain of life to him who has it, but the instruction of fools is folly.
• Proverbs 1:5 -Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,
• Ecclesiastes 7:12 -For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.

Praying for Wisdom and Knowledge
• James 1:5 -If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him.
• Proverbs 2:10-11 -For wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul, discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you.
